About free3dstl

free3dstl is a free library of STL files for 3D printing. Makers upload models they've designed, and anyone can download them — no paywalls, no download limits.

Downloading

Every model is free to download, no account needed. Check the model's license before selling prints or sharing remixes.

Uploading

Create a free account, then drop your STL on the upload page. We check every file is a valid STL, measure it in millimetres, and show it in a 3D viewer so people can inspect it before downloading.

Good uploads

• Give it a clear title and say what it fits or does.
• Add your print settings (material, layer height, supports).
• Export in millimetres — STL files have no units, and we assume mm.
• Only upload your own work, or files whose license allows re-sharing.
