How to 3D print a custom birthday cake topper online
- Type the name or message. Enter up to four lines, like a name and Happy Birthday, or add a shape from a picture.
- Choose a font and width. Script fonts join the letters together. 100–150 mm wide suits most round cakes.
- Set the stakes. Automatic picks 1–3 stakes from the width. 55 mm into the cake holds most toppers upright.
- Download the cake topper STL. Download one STL. For a two-colour topper, the page shows the height at which to change filament.
- Print flat and cover the stakes. Print with no supports. Before it goes into the cake, wrap the stakes in food wrap or slide drinking straws over them.
